Are there any GST or hidden costs?
There is no GST or any hidden cost for our services! However, if additional services/products are requested there will be an add-on cost.
Our therapists will advise customers if additional products or services are needed based on your skin condition. But, the option to add-on is entirely at your discretion.
How often should I get a facial?
The ideal frequency for facials depends on your skin condition, concerns, and treatment goals. Generally, we recommend a facial every 4–6 weeks, as this aligns with the skin’s natural renewal cycle. However, if you are targeting specific issues like acne, congestion, or pigmentation, a more tailored schedule may be advised.
During your visit, our therapists will assess your skin and recommend a treatment plan that best suits your needs. This ensures optimal results while giving your skin the time it needs to heal and respond effectively to each session.
What kinds of products do SG FACE carry?
At SG FACE, we use a carefully selected range of professional skincare products from Germany and Italy. These brands are well-known for their strong focus on research, quality formulations, and proven results and we have trusted them since the very beginning of our journey.
We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach or limiting ourselves to just one specific brand. Each brand we carry brings something unique to the table, and we choose only those we truly believe in, products that consistently deliver visible results and that our customers love and return for.
Our goal has always been to provide honest, effective skincare, and we believe that using trusted, medi-grade products is a big part of that. Over the years, these products have helped us build real, lasting relationships with our clients and the results speak for themselves.
Will my skin break out after facial?
Some customers may experience mild, temporary breakouts after a facial, especially treatments focused on deep cleansing or detoxification. This is often part of a normal process known as skin purging.
Skin purging can occur when active ingredients or exfoliants used during a facial increase skin cell turnover. As the skin renews itself more rapidly, underlying congestion and impurities may surface in the form of small breakouts or irritation. This is a temporary reaction and typically subsides within a few days to a week, revealing a clearer and more balanced complexion.
Not everyone will experience purging. It depends on your skin type, condition, and the treatment performed. During your visit, our therapists will assess your skin and recommend the most suitable treatment to meet your needs and goals. Feel free to share any concerns or expectations with us so we can ensure the best experience for your skin.
Are there results after 1 session?
Your skin post facial will feel deeply cleaned, more hydrated and radiant. Pimple inflammation and blackheads will significantly reduce. However, in order to prolong the effects of a session, the use of professional skin care products is important.
To achieve clear and porcelain-like skin, monthly facial up-keeping and the use of good products is crucial!
Are facials suitable for men?
Yes of course!
Facials are suitable for both men and women. Men are exposed to air pollution, sunlight and pollutants as much as women. In fact, men often experiences more sun damage as their pores are larger.
Are extractions painful?
Extractions can feel slightly uncomfortable, especially if there is deeper congestion, but they should not be overly painful. In fact, for some skin types, particularly those with clogged or stubborn pores, extractions can be an important step. When blockages are not properly cleared, they can build up over time, leading to enlarged pores, blackheads, or even breakouts.
That said, we understand that everyone’s pain tolerance is different. Our team are trained to perform extractions as gently and safely as possible. We always take your comfort seriously, and if you have a lower pain threshold, we offer the option of using a topical numbing cream to make things more comfortable.
Our goal is to help your skin heal and improve, without unnecessary stress or discomfort. If at any point during your session you feel discomfort or have any concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are here to support you every step of the way.
What is the difference between manual and machine facials?
Manual facials focus on hands-on techniques like facial massage, deep extractions, and customised mask application. They offer a more personalised approach, where our therapists can adjust the pressure and technique based on your skin’s needs. On the other hand, machine facials use advanced tools such as LED light therapy, microcurrents, or ultrasound to enhance results which are effective in targeting specific skin concerns like acne, dullness, or signs of ageing.
For our 90 and 120-minute treatments, we combine both methods to give you the best of both worlds. This allows us to thoroughly clear clogged pores while also boosting your skin’s recovery and radiance using the latest technology. Our equipment and skincare products are thoughtfully selected from reputable, internationally recognised brands to ensure both safety and effectiveness.
Can I get a facial if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, absolutely. We offer specialised treatments designed for sensitive and ultra-sensitive skin. Before each session, our therapists will first assess the underlying cause whether it is due to product reactions, environmental stress, or a weakened skin barrier and customise the treatment to suit your skin’s needs.
Our calming facials use gentle techniques and skin-repairing ingredients to reduce redness, restore hydration, and strengthen the skin barrier. This leaves your skin feeling calmer, stronger, and more resilient with each visit.
What should I avoid doing after a facial?
After a facial, we recommend avoiding:
– Heavy makeup for at least 24 hours
– Direct sun exposure without SPF
– Exfoliating products or active ingredients (like AHA/BHA or retinol) for 2–3 days
– Picking or touching your face unnecessarily
Let your skin rest, hydrate well, and always apply sunscreen!
What should I expect during my first facial?
Your first facial will begin with a gentle cleanse, followed by a detailed skin assessment. Our therapist will take time to understand your skin concerns, lifestyle habits, and skincare history to better tailor the treatment to your needs.
Based on this, we will recommend a few suitable facial options aligned with your skin goals and timeline. All pricing is shared transparently upfront (nett prices, no hidden fees). Once you have chosen your preferred treatment, we will proceed with the facial.
Throughout the session, our focus is on care and comfort. Each step will be explained so you understand its purpose and how it benefits your skin. If our therapist feels your skin could benefit from a gentle boost or an optional add-on, they may share it with you for consideration but it is always non-obligatory.
Most importantly, if at any point you feel discomfort or prefer the facial to be done a certain way, just let your therapist know. We are here to make the experience as personalised and relaxing as possible.
Will my skin look red or sensitive after my first facial?
Some clients may experience slight redness or sensitivity especially if extractions were done, but it usually fades within a few hours to a day. We use calming products and techniques to minimise irritation and will give you aftercare advice tailored to your skin.
Can I talk to someone before booking my first facial?
Yes, definitely! If you’re unsure which treatment is right for you, feel free to drop us a message on WhatsApp or Instagram. Our team will be happy to advise and recommend something based on your skin concerns and comfort level.
